Join us for a day of conscious practice and expanded awareness as we move mindfully through the many layers of experience that is New York City. Discover spaciousness, connection and our capacity for lovingkindness in the moment, on the street, in the city. Our day will include direct experience, practice, inquiry and reflection.

In this weekend workshop, we will explore the domains of the feminine and the masculine, and how they relate and integrate with each other. Each archetypal energy lives deeply in the individual and the collective. Through the medium of our own hearts, minds and bodies, we will meet and experience facets of both the feminine and the masculine energy: their power, intelligence, beauty, creativity, and wildness.

Love is at the core of the human experience, but what is it and how does it work? What is the common thread that weaves through all experiences of love: friendship, romantic love, the love among family members, love between species. Come spend a day and explore the power and potential of love as a way of being in the world with oneself and others.

The word, "power" is a charged word in our culture, often with painful, negative connotations and associations. As Martin Luther King Jr pointed out, "Power without love is reckless and abusive." Come take this opportunity to reclaim this word, "power," and the essential energies that lie at its core. We will invite and explore experiences of a deep, integrative and unambiguous contact with power – body, heart, mind and spirit.

Our capacity to play impacts all our relationships and endeavors, and is at the heart of the creative process. As Einstein said, "Play is the highest form of research." When we play, we are hanging out on the edge of discovery, calling forth the unknown. Come explore and reclaim the creativity, intelligence and joy of play in this one day workshop.

Community Circles
Community Circles are offered to support the growth and flowering of our communal wellbeing, and in recognition of our intrinsic relatedness and belonging to the the whole.
Transitions Circle offers a safe place in which to share, heal and be held as we navigate changes in our lives as a result of separation and divorce: the transformation or loss of relationship, the loss of life as we've know it, and no clear path before us.

We have come a long way – we have conceived, nurtured, supported, facilitated and attended on many different levels in our lives. Meanwhile, our bodies are speaking to us; we are crossing a threshold in the life of a woman that is deeply meaningful, yet rarely acknowledged. It is time to shine our capacity and energy for deep care and attention back on ourselves. We are gathering together once a month for 9 months as a group of women to bring awareness to our lives and our needs at this time in our lives, and to restore and replenish our tap-roots with vital nutrients.
2016/2017 Circle is now forming. Contact Alice at alice@onebreathcircle.org for more information.
Join together with other families on four consecutive Saturday mornings for exploration, creative expression, play and meaningful connection that celebrates and nourishes your family. Through games, hands on practices and reflective exercises, families will individually and collectively embark on a path of discovery: what really matters? How do we live what really matters as a family? What practices and rituals can we create together to integrate what most matters into our family life? Together, we will experiment with creating the world we want to live in. Open to families of any configuration and spiritual background with children 3 to 13. Fee includes all four sessions for one family group.

Join us for a journey on four consecutive Tuesday evenings to explore the possibilities of conscious parenting. Parenting calls forth nothing short of everything from us. How can we meet the challenges and the opportunities of leadership in our families with presence, creativity and equanimity? In this circle, parents will reflect on what they are bringing into the field of the family, consciously and unconsciously as part of a visioning process for what they want to create for themselves, their children and their families. Fee is per parent or set of co-parents, and includes all four sessions. Please contact alice@onebreathcircle.com for information.
One afternoon a week for 8 weeks, teen girls and boys, will each gather in their own circles to slow down and give voice to their feelings and thoughts in a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can speak their truth and practice compassionate listening. This will be a circle of peers with two same gender adults in attendance in each circle. Imagine having a safe space every week to share without fear of judgement; a circle of peers and adults to see, hear and accept you. The circle offers the value and power of relationship to self and others, and a safe space in which to explore and share the many questions, ideas and challenges teens experience. Teens discover they can be seen and accepted for who they are, and that they have much to offer our world. Scholarships are available. Please contact alice@onebreathcircle.com for information.
Join us on the first weekend in March as we explore our relationship with food, eating and ourselves. Every meal is an opportunity to be present, and for deep nourishment for body, mind, heart and spirit. How do the choices we make impact ourselves, our community and our world? We will delve into our multi-dimensional relationship with food through inner and outer exploration and inquiry, movement, mindfulness, breath, and conscious listening. Taste the nourishment that can feed and support an energized, whole human body, heart, mind, and spirit.
